Flat Bread Company// flatbreadcompany.com
Yes, this place is a gem. The pizza is fabulous and they get bonus points for having a non-dairy vegan option for pizza and dessert. You can’t go wrong with any of their pizza but the community flatbread for those who can consume dairy and the vegan flatbread for those non-dairy eaters are the stand outs. If you are a BBQ pizza obsessed individual, you will not be disappointed with the Mopsy’s Kalua Chicken pie. This pie is made with oven roasted free range chicken, homemade organic chipotle BBQ sauce, red onions, fresh pineapple, goat cheese, mozzarella, parmesan cheese and a homemade organic herb mix. It looks and smells and tastes like heaven (had this during my pre- dairy allergy days). Surprisingly though, the pizza is not why this place is in my top 5. The bar atmosphere, the beverage menu and overall vibe… the half bowling alley/half restaurant thing they have going is what has me coming back for more. With a full bar and extensive beer list featuring rare local brews and thirst quenching ciders, I can never decide what I want but I am always pleased by my selection. I love how you can watch a few games of bowling or play a round if you’re feeling it. Super relaxing and inviting spot. Get here in the early evening to beat the crowds, though, everyone knows how great this spot is… so, it’s pretty much always busy. Either way, it’s totally worth a visit.
They also have locations in Portsmouth, NH, Amesbury, MA and Portland, ME to name a few. Check out their site for all locations.
